New relief for parents with Schoolkids boost

The Federal Government's new Schoolkids bonus is set to start benefitting families across the monaro this week.

Eligible families will receive a one off payment of more than four hundred dollars for each child in primary school, and more than eight hundred dollars for those in high school over the next fortnight.

Eligibility is determined if a family is currently receiving the Family Tax Benefit Part A payment.

Federal Member for Eden-Monaro, Mike Kelly , says it'll be a welcome relief to local parents.
