Shadow Minister for Primary Industries Steve Whan has responded to Katrina Hodgkinson's slamming of his opposition to the corporatisation of Forests NSW and lost jobs.
Minister Hodgkinson points to the loss of nearly 800 forestry jobs under the previous Labour government, of which Mr Whan was a part.
He says those jobs were not lost, but reshuffled into national parks and other areas.
Meanwhile, as the Forests NSW workshop at Bombala is reportedly safe, other workshops across the state - including nearby Eden and Batemans bay - are closing down.
Mr. Whan has fears that it signifies the start of the path to privatisation.
