Work to upgrade a section of Kosciuszko Road in Jindabyne has been completed recently, and council are hoping that the developments will ease traffic issues when the winter season arrives.
The work is in part a response to issues that have arisen in the past from police checks and breath testing that saw traffic backed up throughout the town.
The addition of a two hundred metre westbound merge lane on Kocsiuszko is hoped to resolve those issues, and it's a move that's being welcomed by Member for Monaro John Barilaro.
