Jindabyne local Tegan Molloy has starred at Thredbo's Cannonball Mountain Bike Festival.

The annual event wrapped up on Sunday, and saw Tegan take out the Australian Open Downhill.

She finished in a time of 6:03.88, nearly five seconds ahead of Danni Beecroft and Sian A'hern.

She says she really loves to win on her home ground in front of family and friends, and is stoked with the win.

The Australian Open Downhill took place on Sunday, and was just one of five events scheduled for the five-day competition.

The tournament drew a range of riders, from amateurs to rising stars and the best the world has to offer, while a pool of $70,000 in cash and prizes was up for grabs.
