NSW Labor is challenging the Berejiklian-Barilaro Government to come clean on plans for nuclear power in Southern NSW.
This follows a call by Deputy Premier and Member for Monaro, John Barilaro, to have nuclear reactors operating in NSW within the next 10 years.

He says when it comes to addressing the energy crisis, we must be prepared to talk about nuclear energy and the lack of discussion about nuclear power has resulted in a lack of awareness of technological advancements.

Together with Snowy Hydro 2.0 and a pilot modular reactor in NSW, Mr Barilaro believes the energy mix would deliver improved security, increased supply and in turn lower energy bills for households and business.

Shadow Minister for Energy Adam Searle says the idea needs to be specific.
